How much does it cost to press vinyl records?

100 black 12 inch records in a printed jacket cost $1,899.99 CAD in total. Price depends on size, quantity, colour and packaging, and the Vinyl Price Builder shows your exact total for any build in about 2 minutes.

How long does vinyl pressing take?

Standard pressing takes 5 to 7 weeks and Short Run takes 10 to 12 weeks, counted from approval of your artwork and audio and payment. Rush options are available on many packages.

Can you get my records done by a certain date?

Choose your needed by date in the Vinyl Price Builder to see your estimated completion date and any rush options. For a hard deadline, contact us before you order and we will confirm what is possible.

What is the difference between Short Run and Standard?

Standard uses a lacquer master for the best fidelity and every vinyl style and effect. Short Run is the budget friendly route for smaller runs in black, clear and colour.

Are test pressings included?

Yes on Standard pressing: 10 test pressings are included (20 for a double LP), so you hear your record before the full run. On Short Run, test pressings are an optional add on and add time.

What files do I need to send?

Artwork on our templates as PDF or PSD at 300 dpi in CMYK, and your final audio as WAV files, one file per side. We strongly recommend audio mastered for vinyl. You upload everything in Backstage after you check out.

How long can each side of my record be?

On 12 inch Standard, up to 22 minutes per side is recommended. On Short Run, up to 20 minutes per side. Longer sides can lower volume and may add cost.

Why might I receive a few more or fewer records?

Pressing is a physical process, so a run can vary by up to 10%. A 200 record order could ship 180 to 220, and you are billed or credited for the final quantity shipped.
